In the 2015 Ms. and Mr. Philadelphia Leather contest, held at the Bike Stop on Valentine’s Day, February 14, the first such contest here since 2008, Lascivious Jane from Philadelphia, Artistic Director of the Liberty City Kings of Drag and Burlesque, who ran unopposed, was chosen as the new Ms. Philadelphia Leather, and Jason, from Philadelphia, who ran against four other contenders, was chosen as the new Mr. Philadelphia Leather. Winners’ prizes were their sashes, leather back patches, and custom-fitted vests, from Wolfstryker Leather, and hotel and airfare to, respectively, the next International Ms. Leather and International Mr. Leather contests, in which they will have the opportunity to compete.
Other contestants were Pig Daddy, from Ambler, Pennsylvania, who placed as runner-up; Lou from New Jersey; Clay from Delaware; and Blue from Philadelphia. Judges were Mr. Philadelphia Leather 2007 John Loesch, Ms. Philadelphia Leather 2000 Jo Ann, current Mr. Gay Philadelphia Lou Cutler and, as Tally Pup, MasoMutt.
Contestants wore jockstraps or other ‘hot wear’ to answer ‘fun questions;’ informal or bar wear to respond to ‘serious questions;’ and formal leather, while giving 90-second speeches on topics of their choice.
During the evening, the Philadelphians Motorcycle Club presented a $2,000 check to Philadelphia’s William Way LGBT Community Center.
