Joe Fiore’s ever-popular Furball was back, at the LGBT Community Center, on April 20, as part of Dance:208. Atlanta DJ Sean Mac presided over music on the first floor, while Damien, Dave Huge, and W. Jeremy shared DJ duties in the third floor Mustache Ballroom.

Seen at the Furball were: “Papa Bear” Anthony Caruso, from “Survivor;” Queen of Studio 54 and Imperial Court of New York (ICNY) Dame Rollerena; iconic rainbow flag creator Gilbert Baker, recently knighted by ICNY, with the handsomest of entourages, made up of Richard, Robert, and 22-year-old newbie Joe; Hedda Lettuce and Ann Phetamine, in mufti, and Darrell Perry, of Darrell’s Dungeon, in a tuxedo; Park Slope, Brooklyn’s Excelsior bar bartender Ben Ryan and Daddy Bear Grant; Mr. Fire Island Leather 2002 and ICNY Prince Royal Peter B and Andy; Prince Royal Mario D’Ziner; Mr. Rawhide 2011 Jed Ryan; Mr. MetroCub 2011 Heriberto Oquendo, Jr.; Mr. Boots & Saddle 2012 Reymundo Santiago; Hernan Poza with erstwhile New York City and Cherry Grove bartender Stevie Rich; Philadelphia Liberty Bears President Thom Caggiano and DJ Will; Urban Bears’ Robert Valin, Andrew Ryan Rix, and muscleman Louis promoting Urban Bear Weekend, May 2 to 5 (www.theurbanbear.com); fashion designer Marcello Geary and photographer Rob Ordoñez; Cherry Grove’s Ben Dono, Jerry McCormick, Will Grey, Steven Sebor, and friends; and so many, many others.
