Friends and family, from Brooklyn and Cherry Grove, and Excelsior Bar employees were on hand to celebrate, on October 20, Park Slope bar co-owner and Ice Palace DJ Richard Kennedy 50th birthday, at a party at the Brooklyn bar, planned by his longtime life-and-business partner Mark Nayden, Mr. Fire Island Leather 2012. Among those present from the Grove were Ken Braun and Peter, Robby Ranger and Tommy, Ken and Marc, Barbara and Marilyn, the M and Ms, Michael Moran and Matthew George, and Messrs. FI Leather 2005 Joe Saporito and 2001, this writer. Excelsior bartender Ben Ryan, also a familiar Grove figure, was, of course, present as well.
