On June 12, at Cooper Union, New York City Council Speaker Christine C. Quinn hosted a Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride celebration and the event was packed. This might have had something to do with Quinn’s having Whoopi Goldberg as Mistress of Ceremonies, or the big possibility of Quinn running and becoming New York City’s first female, openly lesbian, and Irish Mayor, and the fact that New York State now has Marriage Equality.
It's been a good year. We wish a “Mazel Tov” to Christine Quinn and her wife, Kim M. Catullo, who married on May 19.
