On April 9, every bear that ever there was came out of hibernation and turned up for Joe Fiore’s Dance:208, the Fur Ball, at New York City’s LGBT Community Center. Sean Mac and Man Parrish were the DJs.

We saw Joe Fiore and Roger; sexy go-go bear Torez dancing; Robert Valin, announcing Urban Bear Weekend, May 12 to 15; Rollerena, promoting the Studio 54 34th anniversary Dance:208, on April 23; Bear titleholders George Hains and Sunshine; Emperor Tony Monteleone; Fire Islanders Tony, from the Fire Department, Will and Michael, Dutch Will and Alberto, and the Pines’ Gil Neary; the Center’s Ector, Lou, and others; Mark Afana, pushing a Play Bear party; Kenn Graziano; Frank Capucci, the artist with the Mohawk; David Ranada; Belgian Yannick, who was Cupid at the Valentine’s Dance; and many, many more.
