Fred Goldhaber, beloved gay activist, passed away at the age of 63 on November 15. The cause of death was liver cancer.
A native New Yorker, Fred had been an active member of the Gay Activists Alliance in the 1970s, was the founding teacher of the Harvey Milk School for LGBT students, sang baritone with the New York City Gay Men’s Chorus, and had been a longtime survivor of AIDS.
