New York’s LGBT Community Center resumed holding its Garden Party, always a highlight of Pride Week, on June 21.
The venue was Pier 84, at Hudson River Park, and performers announced were Gigi Goode, familiar from Season 12 of “RuPaul’s Drag Race;” Paula Cole (“I Don’t Want to Wait,” “Where Have All the Cowboys Gone?”); singer Sophie B. Hawkins (“Damn I Wish I Was Your Lover,” “As I Lay Me Down”); Haus of Tisci (HBO Max’s “Legendary”); Krystofer Maison; a cappella group TONEWALL; and Destiny Devine, with DJ BBARI responsible for music and sound.
Sharing their culinary expertise were Franco Noriega of Baby Brasa, Kyo Pang of Kopitiam, ad Holly Sheppard of Fig & Pig Catering.
