When you thought that 2020 could not possibly get more–aHEM–unusual, Mary L. Trump released her scathing inside look under the rock of the Trump family, “Too Much and Never Enough,” aptly subtitled “How my family created the world’s most dangerous man.”
Mary Trump’s book contains few surprises. It is hard to contemplate picking it up because of the distaste many have for the Donald’s behavior and how often he seems to be “Teflon Don,” because what he would stick to others seems to not adhere to him. Yet hearing tales of [him] from a family that seemed to have everything, yet truly had nothing of lasting worth, puts a great many events into sharp focus.
It took me a while to digest everything Ms. Trump had to say. I am a reader of strong opinions. While history of figures great and small fascinates me, and you may be certain that Donald is both great and small, the book is an interesting trial in the court of quasi-public opinion. And we know how much public opinion means to 45. He doesn’t value what he has– the rotten racist core of America to which he panders. He wants YOU, Gentle Reader, as much as he loathes you. There is no moral hypothalamus there, and while it is enlightening to know the back story of someone who will eclipse Warren G. Harding as one of the worst elected officials in United States history, if you want to encourage your true friends to vote for lasting positive change, give them a copy of this book right NOW!
