Unwavering in principle and often controversial, Larry Kramer, a founder of Gay Men’s Health Crisis (GMHC) and the AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power (ACTUP), as well as author of the novel “Faggots,” the screenplay for “Women in Love,” and plays “The Normal Heart” and “Four Friends,” passed away on May 27. He was born on June 25, 1935. The cause of his death was pneumonia.
