The Eagle NYC leather bar held its festive annual Halloween Party on October 31 and it drew figures out of antiquity, devils and other horny creatures, nuns, musclemen, smoldering beauties, bunnies, and all the rest.
The centerpiece of the party was the Halloween costume contest, hosted by Ms. Witti Repartée and Mr. Eagle NYC Leather 2019 Thom Kam. In her songs, Witti told us what you do “When You’re a Drag Queen” and led us in a sing-along, dance-along “Time Warp,” from “The Rocky Horror Show,” assisted by DJ Oscar.
There were 20 contestants, reduced to 10 by audience applause, then to five by a committee of the leather titleholders who were present, and finally to three top winners, acclaimed by the assembled. The winner of the $1,000 first prize was Aquaman, twirling his seahorses, the creation of Mr. Fire Island Leather 2007 Diego Vargas. The runner-up was the Scarecrow, winning $350, and the second runner-up was a travesti Day of the Dead, winning $150. Among the semi-finalists was Miss Fire Island 2004 Dakota Sue as the White Rabbit, with a young man as her pocket watch. Another contestant was Election Day 2016, a flasher with a Trump figure, with a mass of orange hair, covering his crotch.
