Joined by family and friends, Dr. Jane Marie Testa marked her 60th birthday, belatedly, on March 4, with a gala party organized by Barbara Campagna and Jane’s sisters Angel and Debbie, at Three Village Inn in Stony Brook, Long Island.
There was dance music by a three-piece country band and by DJ James; an ad hoc Jane Testa Birthday Tabernacle Choir, led by niece Nancy, singing choruses of “Janie, Good Night,” to the tune of “Goodnight, Irene,” between spoken ‘roasts;’ a cappella duets by Michael Jo, Jane and Barbara’s son, and this writer of “I Am What I Am,” from “La Cage aux Folles,” and “On the Street Where You Live,” from “My Fair Lady;” and comedy by Vickie Shaw, from Austin, Texas.
