On February 10, beloved pianist Dan Daly, of New York City, Cherry Grove, and Fort Lauderdale, marked a major milestone birthday: 50 years—he said that I could share this. And on February 16, his friends at the Monster celebrated, around the piano, with cake—apricot and mocha, decorated with almonds and candy hearts, courtesy of Geri Rukenstein, from her local Rumanian bakery—and with song—10 hours of song, as Dan was, unusually, playing a double shift.
